Amauta Adventures

Your amauta (wise man) for accessible adventures. I'm just a regular dude sharing trips and adventures you can actually do.

What This Blog Is About

I started this blog mainly as an excuse to go on exciting adventures, document them, and share them with others. I hope it inspires people who want to get out there but don't know where to start.

Each trip will be organized by price, difficulty, category, and location. I'll include gear recommendations and tips so you can do it yourself. They'll range from lead climbing up rocky cliffs to equally fun at-home adventures.

Hand-Crafted with Django

As a software engineer, I wanted to build a project I was genuinely passionate about — something that wasn't just technically solid, but also aesthetically exciting. A project both techies and non-techies could enjoy — a little piece of art in its own right.

This site is a Django multipage app built with the MVT architecture. It uses Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js for responsive, interactive UI elements. HTMX handles most AJAX requests for dynamic content updates, while vanilla JavaScript is used to fill in any remaining gaps in functionality.

Enjoy the site!

If you have ideas for improvements or just something fun to add, let me know! Peace, and happy adventuring.
